The Hope Heart Institute relies heavily on gifts from private citizens and foundations. Public support for The Hope Heart Institute totaled nearly $5 million in 2007. Every gift we receive helps support the work of our researchers and educators in their efforts to prevent and fight cardiovascular disease.

There are many ways to support the work of The Hope Heart Institute:
  • Donate Now!Make a donation to support our programs
  • Give a gift in honor of a loved-one
  • Volunteer your time
  • Attend or sponsor our events
For those wishing to make larger contributions to fund this important research and education outreach, we welcome you to join the Hope Heart Society or the Legacy Society.

Memorials & Tributes

Memorial and tribute gifts to The Hope offer a meaningful way to honor the life of a friend or loved one who has passed away or is currently suffering due to heart and/or blood vessel disease. In appreciation of your gift of $100 or more in honor of someone, we will send you, or your honoree a memento recognizing your generosity. Learn More

Workplace donations

If your company "matches" employee gifts for nonprofit organizations, you may be able to double the impact of your generosity to The Hope. State and federal employees may choose to give during the Combined Federal Campaign or the Washington State Employees Combined Fund Drive. You can also designate The Hope Heart Institute on your United Way forms. For more information on giving through your workplace, contact your personnel office.

Donate Your Car

You can donate your old car, boat or RV to The Hope Heart Institute. Your tax deductible gift will support education and research programs. For more information contact Carol Coughlin at 425-456-8710 or ccoughlin@hopeheart.org.

Organizational fund drives

The next time your club, school or business needs an important cause for your charitable fundraising event, consider The Hope. (February is heart month - a great time to raise funds for our heart and blood vessel disease research and education programs.)

Gifts for the future:

Endowments

Endowments are "seed" funds, carefully invested to provide a stream of permanent income for The Hope. You may give to an existing endowment - or set up a new one to support a specific purpose, your favorite program, or an individual researcher.

Planned or deferred gifts

Planned gifts are most often bequests made in a will. Some gifts, such as annuities are designed to pay the donor a lifetime income then transfer that income to The Hope at death. We are grateful to all who include the Hope Heart Institute in their will. Those who inform us of their planned gifts give us the opportunity to honor their generosity in The Legacy Society.
