General Gifts

Make a one-time donation or create a recurring monthly donation through our secure on-line giving page to support The Hope. Gifts can be left unrestricted or you may choose to restrict your gift to a specific program including Education Programs/Community Outreach, Clinical Research or Basic Science.

Memorials

Pay respect to someone who has lost the fight to cardiovascular disease by making a gift of love and hope in their honor. We will send a thoughtful note to the family of the deceased acknowledging your gift. You will also receive a letter in recognition of your tax deductible donation.

Tributes

Celebrate the life of a friend, relative or colleague by making a contribution to cardiovascular research and educational programs in lieu of flowers. We will send a thoughtful note acknowledging your gift. You will also receive a letter in recognition of your tax deductible donation.

Workplace Donations

Many companies offer their employees the opportunity to give to charities of their choice through the convenience of payroll deduction. If your company "matches" employee gifts for nonprofit organizations, you may be able to double the impact of your generosity to The Hope. State and federal employees may choose to give during the Combined Federal Campaign or the Washington State Employees Combined Fund Drive. You can also designate The Hope Heart Institute on your United Way forms.

Gifts of Securities
You may receive an income tax deduction for the full market value of the donated shares if you've held the securities for more than one year, and you may avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation. Procedures for donating securities to The Hope depend on how you hold them. In each case, we ask that you notify us of your intenet to make a gift of securities so that we can track the gift and assure its proper completion. this will also ensure that you receive accurate and timely acknowledgement of your gift for income tax purposes.

Planned Gifts
Making a planned gift to The Hope is an easy and special way to support our mission in preventing heart disease through cardiovascular research and education. Joining our Hope Legacy Society, a special group of donors who have made provisions for a planned gift to The Hope, allows you to donate assets, yet defer the time until we actually receive them.

The best gift plans improve your financial and tax situation, often right away. we understand that your own financial needs and those of your family come first. We encourage you to explore the possibilities and opportunities for creative gift planning.

Vehicle Donations
You can donate your old car, boat or RV to The Hope Heart Institute. Your tax deductible gift will support education and research programs.

Become a Corporate Supporter
With the help of our corporate sponsors, The Hope has made great strides in improving the lives of individuals living with heart disease. We're better able to identify and reach people who are at increased risk for developing heart disease, or have heart disease, but don't know it. We're supporting research - and researchers - to bring us closer to a cure. We're providing education programs that touch thousands of youth and teenagers in schools that advocate for heart disease prevention. Learn more about our Corporate Sponsorship program. 

Organizational Fund Drive
The next time your club, school or business needs an important cause for your charitable fund-raising event, consider The Hope. February is heart month - a great time to raise funds for our heart and blood vessel disease research and education programs.

Endowments
Endowments are "seed" funds, carefully invested to provide a stream of permanent income for The hope. You may give to an existing endowment - or set up a new one to support a specific purpose, your favorite program, or an individual researcher.
